Vineyard Family Services Backpack Buddies Packing Parties

These packing parties will take place the first Saturday of each month during the school year at 9:00 am at 2834-H Pelham Pkwy. All ages and abilities welcome!

Backpack Buddies is a weekend feeding program that serves public school students who are at risk for food insecurity in Shelby County, Alabama
Backpack Buddies serves over 1,400 public school children, ages 5-18, weekly in these locations:​
• Alabaster City Schools
• Pelham City Schools
• Shelby County Schools
• Day Program

​Our Target Audience:
• ​Free or reduced meal recipients
• Experiencing homelessness or transitional housing
• In crisis or trauma situations
• In a single parent home
• Has a history of food insecurity
